We received an email from Maria Leedham from the Open University requesting some data for her text analysis study. Basically she wants Chinese students to send her their essays and assignments. She will run the articles through text analysis software which lists your most commonly used words. Click read more for more information.

I’m a researcher at the Open University looking at Chinese and British students’ assignment-writing in UK universities. I’m building two collections of texts (or ‘corpora’) by collecting student assignments for analysis.

I need to collect lots of writing from Chinese and British undergraduate and Master’s students in UK universities. These can be from any discipline and have achieved any grade. All assignments will be anonymised and will be used for research purposes only.
