The Chinese Society (Chisoc) is a voluntary student group at the University of Birmingham. Our primary aim is to improve the life of chinese students studying at the university by maintaining a lively community. The society is managed by a yearly elected committee, all of which are previous members of the society that just want to contribute back to what it has given them.
Our society welcomes not just native Chinese, Malaysians, Vietnamese, Singaporeans, but also those those interested in Chinese culture - which includes those born away from their country of ethnicity!
In order to achieve our aims, we organise activities such as social events and trips.

Working for the society or getting involved in any way is a great way of meeting new friends and make your study at the University a lot more enjoyable. The easiest way to get involved is to take part in our events. To do so, keep checking back on the site, join our Facebook group or sign up to our mailing list. Look forward to the future - you never know, next year you may decide to contribute back to the society by becoming a committee member!
